Pots of fun: Getting creative at Young Parents Group

The Bridge Youth Service’s Young Parents Group was lucky enough to benefit from a painted flower-pots activity coordinated by Bunnings Shepparton’s activities organiser Sarah Batho this week.

The pots, potting mix, Chubbies Paint Sticks and plants were all donated by Bunnings Shepparton, along with a box of child-safe footpath chalk.

Pots were decorated with bright rainbows, flowers and love hearts.

Young Parents Group facilitator Stacey praised Sarah’s bubbly engagement with the children and said the donation of goods and facilitation of the activity was a fantastic addition to the weekly program.

“The donation of these supplies has transformed our session into a hands-on learning experience, where parents can see the joy of creativity in their children,” Stacey said.

“We’re appreciative of Bunnings’ continued support for our Young Parents Group.”

The Bridge Youth Service’s Young Parents Group is held weekly and experienced facilitators provide parenting education, activities for the children, and support and advice on health and wellbeing. The group provides the opportunity for social connections with other parents and children.
